Carry-Lite $1,000 Pretty Boy Decoy Footage Contest Official Rules

The Pretty Boy Video Contest is sponsored by Carry-Lite® Decoys, a division of Plastic Research and Development Corporation, hereinafter referred to as “Carry-Lite Decoys.”

HOW TO ENTER: Participants may enter the Pretty Boy Video Contest as follows:

Footage should be in MiniDV format (minimum) and cued to the portion to be judged.  Entries must be accompanied by an informational sheet describing the events on tape, and include name and complete address of entrant, e-mail address and daytime telephone.  Mail to: The Pretty Boy Video Contest, Carry-Lite Decoys, Attn: C/S Department, 3601 Jenny Lind Rd, Fort Smith, AR 72901. To be eligible to win, all entries submitted by mail must be postmarked by June 15, 2008 and received by June 20, 2008.  All entries must be complete to be eligible to win. The Contest begins at 12:00 midnight CST on January 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on June 15, 2008.

All submissions become the sole property of Carry-Lite Decoys and may be used in any manner in all media, including but not limited to marketing or promotional purposes such as market research, populating e-mail distribution or other mailing lists or notifying participants of the goods and services provided by Carry-Lite Decoys, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates or divisions. By entering the Contest each participant consents to such use of the information submitted.  Please keep a copy of your submission as contest entries will not be returned.

Each submission must be solely the original work of the entrant.  Entrants must sign a Release and Indemnity attesting that they are the rightful owners of the footage.   Releases will be sent to entrants by Carry-Lite Decoys.

Decisions of the judges as to all contest matters are final and non-appealable. All submissions are subject to the terms of these rules and all entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges. Carry-Lite Decoys reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.

Footage will be judged on the basis of its uniqueness and excitement. Examples should include footage of toms attacking the decoy or particularly large toms interacting with it. Quality of camera work will also be a factor.

PRIZES:  ODDS OF WINNING DEPEND ON NUMBER OF ELIGIBLE ENTRIES RECEIVED. One winner will be selected to receive the First Place prize of $1,000 cash.  The second place winner will receive Carry-Lite and/or Knight & Hale® brand product valued at $500.  The third place winner will receive Carry-Lite and/or Knight & Hale product valued at $250.  The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize having equal or greater value in the event that any of the stated prizes are not available. 

PRIZE NOTIFICATION: The potential winner will be notified by U.S. mail, e-mail and/or telephone within 30 days after the judging.  The potential winner will be required to claim the prize and return a signed Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release and, where lawful, a publicity release within fourteen (14) days of the date of issuance of the prize notification.  The failure of the potential winner to claim the prize or the return the signed affidavit and release within such time or notification of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in the disqualification of the potential winner. 

ELIGIBILITY:  Except as otherwise prohibited by these Official Rules, the Contest is open to all legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Persons under 18 may enter, but written parental consent will be required with submission.  The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.  Further, residents of jurisdictions where commercial sweepstakes or promotions similar to the Contest are prohibited, restricted or subject to licensing or registration are not eligible to participate in the Contest.  Employees of Carry-Lite Decoys, Plastic Research and Development Corporation, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, or divisions and members of their immediate families and those living in their same households, are not eligible to win. 

GENERAL CONDITIONS: By entering the Contest each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless Carry-Lite Decoys, or any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions and advertising and promotional agencies harmless from and against all claims and damages arising in connection with entrant’s participation in the Contest.  By entering the Contest, participants agree to be bound by and abide with these Official Rules and by the decisions of Carry-Lite Decoys, which decisions shall be final in all matters relating to the Contest. Participants acknowledge and agree by entering the Contest that neither Carry-Lite Decoys, nor any of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, officers, directors, agents and employees are responsible or liable for (1) lost, late, delayed, damaged, misdirected, stolen, incomplete, unintelligible, postage due or incorrectly addressed or routed entries, notices, releases, forms or other communications; (2) any events beyond the reasonable control of Carry-Lite Decoys that may cause the Contest to be disputed or corrupted; (3) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize or the acceptance, possession or use of the prize, or participation in the Contest, but not limited to, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based upon publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, to the extent permitted by law; or (4) any printing, typographical or other errors in any materials relating to the Contest. Any participant who ignores these Official Rules or acts in a manner that Carry-Lite Decoys determines, in its sole discretion, to be unfair, to be intended to annoy, threaten or harass any other participant or any officer, director, agent or employee of Carry-Lite Decoys or is in any other manner disruptive to the Contest or the business or affairs of Carry-Lite Decoys will be disqualified. All sales, use, income or other taxes on prizes and all other expenses related thereto are the sole responsibility of the winner.  All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.  In the event that any dispute arises regarding the meaning or interpretation of these Official Rules, participants agree that the dispute shall be resolved by applying the laws of the State of Arkansas, and that it shall be resolved within and by the courts of that state.
