Turkey Hunting in Enfield, NC

Bill's 18.5 lbs Turkey

This turkey was taken on the 1st day of the 2007 Turkey season in Enfield, NC at 2:30 in the afternoon. I bought my Pretty Boy-Pretty Girl late in 2006 and didn't get a chance to use it until this year. I watched your video that came with the outfit and had some doubt about Pretty Boy's real effectiveness. Well, I can tell you now, the doubt is no longer even a factor.

The story goes like this, in the morning hunt I had 11 jakes come from all over the edge of the woods. Not one of them ever challenged Pretty Boy, it was a great hunt even without shooting. Lunch came and went and at 1:30 I went back to the field, set up Pretty Boy and Girl about 40 yds from the blind, it didn't look to promising but you know turkey hunters, I was sticking it out for the rest of the day. Sitting in the blind, mind wandering, all of a sudden I caught movement from the right approximately 80 or 100 yards at the edge of the woods, 1st one gobbler than 2, 3 and finally #4. As the Lord is my Sheppard, the 4 gobblers all about the same size, beards hanging, ran at top speed and surrounded pretty boy, I thought O Boy, here is where Pretty Boy gets destroyed, in all this excitement I forgot to pick up my shot gun, when I finally did, my turkey noticed the movement, stepped off to my right about 3 yards, became nervous and the other goblers also got nervous, well the proof is in the pudding as you can see by the picture. 10 1/2 beard-18 1/2 pounds and 1 inch spurs. Buying Pretty Boy/Girl is one of the best things I ever did. I think about 4 or 5 more members of the hunting club will be doing the same. I have faith in the Lord and just as much in Pretty Boy. Great decoy, you guys have done a fabulous job.
