Turkey Hunting in Missouri

Scott and "Roscoe"

Attached is a picture of the last Tom I killed this spring here in Missouri. I have been hunting Turkeys here in MO since 1984. I am 36 years old. I have harvested 2 birds every spring and 1 or 2 birds every fall since the mid 80’s but I have never enjoyed Turkey hunting in the spring like I have since I started hunting over the Pretty Boy Turkey Decoy.

I purchased my first Pretty Boy before the 2006 season. I guide Turkey hunts on a small scale, 4 to 7 hunters per/spring. I love to kill them but I enjoy calling them in and watching people who have never killed a bird or who have very limited success kill them. I have story after incredible story using the Pretty Boy turkey decoy.

Like I said, I have always enjoyed Turkey hunting but never as much as I do hunting over my Pretty Boy. I actually have 2 Pretty Boy set-ups. I named them both Roscoe.

Roscoe is single handedly to blame for the death of over 15 or 20 mature Toms. I honestly can say that I have never had a Tom come into a field that I was set up in with Roscoe and not approach the decoy. In years past hunting with other decoys, jakes and hens, I had just as much success making the bird look for the hen as I did putting out a decoy. I also have been involved in killing more doubles than single birds. Most of the time 2 or more mature toms come to the decoy more often than 1 single bird.

Thanks for such a great product!
