The gadwall is the third most harvested duck species in the Mississippi Flyway, yet it is often overlooked by today’s waterfowlers. The Duck Commander Gadwalls are strikingly lifelike and will add an important element of realism to any decoy spread. Mix them in with your mallards to attract more gadwalls and help create the variety needed to bring in multiple species during the entire duck hunting season.

Our smallest puddle duck is also everybody’s favorite. Quick and acrobatic, a flock of green-winged teal will twist, turn and dive in unison with a blur of wings humbling the most skilled wing shooters. So challenge yourself a little, mix in a couple “green wing” mini-spreads in your “big duck” spread and let the action begin.

This small, swift, early-arriving duck will twist and turn as it buzzes your blind before dropping into a quiet corner of the pond – all before you can even begin to collect your wits. However, when you are prepared for their arrival, they provide some of the fastest, most challenging shooting in the marsh. This is why every spread deserves a cluster or two of “blue wings” off to the side to serve not only as a decoy, but as a constant reminder of the action that could be just around the corner.
